- There will not be an increase of parochial fees from 1 January, as would normally be the case. The fees payable to clergy and Parochial Church Councils for Baptisms, Weddings, Funerals, Burials, Memorials and Searches of Records, which are set out in the Parochial Fees Order 2010, and in a separate Table of Parochial Fees will continue in force until further notice.

- The fee payable on lodging a Faculty Petition was increased to £153.00 for a Chancellor's Faculty and £70.00 for an Archdeacon's Faculty on 1 January 2012. (In the Diocese of Peterborough, this will only apply to private faculty applications, as faculty fees for church applications are dealt with through the diocesan budget.)

- The General Register Office has produced a very useful Clergy Guide, which will be of particular help to clergy dealing with marriage registers, but it also contains a good outline of the general law relating to marriages.

- English Heritage has produced some guidance concerning Theft of Metal from Church Buildings. English Heritage will now not necessarily insist on replacement of lead with lead.
- April 2011
- Marriage licence fees have increased with effect from 1 April 2011. The fee for a Common Licence is now £125.00, and the fee for a Special Licence is now £225.00.
